Workshops offer an opportunity for more in-depth learning about particular practices.  Questions are welcome and topics vary weekly.  Please note that pre-registration may be required, and they are not included in monthly passes. yoga labs

Yoga labs offer students the opportunity to look at a specific set of yoga tools: postures, breathing techniques or meditation techniques.  Students practice them, see demonstrations, feel adjustments and modifications, and have plenty of time for questions and answers.  These labs are between a yoga private lesson and a drop-in class.

peaceful

We often say: if you want to change your life, change your morning.  This is the traditional yoga practice, a mostly silent class for doing one’s daily techniques in early morning peace.  You can follow the teacher’s flow, or do your own self-practice.  All levels are welcome, beginners included.  Please note verbal instruction is limited.

This class is by donation.  It may include an instructed breath technique or chanting in call-response, which is then followed by total silence.  Peace, born from early meditation, gently infuses the rest of the day.

yoga level 1

Flowing class with alignment instruction, foundation level yoga postures, and basic breathwork.  Excellent for beginners, those with movement challenges, and anyone seeking rejuvenation.  Expect a light sweat. 

yoga level 2

Flowing class at a moderate pace.  Class includes sun salutations, inversions, and posture modifications for those in need.  Expect to sweat.  Beginners with exercise experience are welcome. 

ayurveda

Hands-on exercises and partner work may accompany this lecture based class.  Learn diet and lifestyle recommendations according to body type, age, season and climate.  Will be offered again soon enrollment classes.

yoga level 3

Flowing class at a fast pace.  Class includes sun salutations and inversions.  Those needing posture modifications will be expected to know them for themselves. 

yoga breathing techniques

This class is lower in cost and open to all.  Breath techniques are the deeper practices of yoga.  Some techniques create smooth breath and are used to develop peace, calm anxiety, increase energy, and provide focus for the mind.  Some techniques are vigorous and are used to lose weight and optimize digestion and elimination.
